Artists Space is a non-profit art gallery in New York City. For this piece, I was asked by Joseph del Pesco, Curator, to design the exhibition catalog for the artist Jackie Sumell’s project, “The House That Herman Built”. This piece is an accordian-fold brochure containing a timeline documenting Jackie’s correspondence with Herman Wallace, photographs and drawings from the exhibition, an essay by Joseph del Pesco and a fold-out poster containing the blueprints of Herman’s imagined house.
