Sound Poetry Printer
This is a ‘hacked’ Smith Corona XL-2500 electric typrewriter that has been programmed, (via Max/MSP), to translate spoken sounds into text. It uses an Arduino micro-controller and various electronic components.
|Still in breadboard phase.|
|Video demonstration of the typewriter printing an excerpt from the spoken sound poetry piece “Ursonate” by Kurt Schwitters. The typewriter is moving slowly in this demonstration.|
